Influence of the Local Plasticise Zone in the Elastic Deformation Environment on the Fatigue Strength of the Construction Elements

Abstract. This article presents the problem of the overstress of the construction elements and its influence on the increase of the fatigue strength of the coupling device’s draw hook for railway vehicles. The analysis has been done by the FEM computer simulation and during bench tests of the draw hook measures using strain gauges.
