Abstract. The current research analyzes the capacity and viability of Prosopis cineraria (Ghaf trees) seed oil as an auxiliary feedstock material for the production of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) to support the United Arab Emirates’ Net Zero 2050 agenda. Prosopis cineraria seed oil was obtained using the Soxhlet extraction procedure with the aid of a solvent, followed by Gas Chromatography analysis. As the obtained substance is lipid-based, the HEFA process has been shortlisted as it has already been proven to be technologically mature and has shown potential with other lipid feedstocks. A simulation analysis using the DWSIM tool was carried out to assess feedstock potential and hydrocarbon behavior in the range of aviation fuel. The outcome of this analysis clearly indicates that this particular seed oil has shown a well-balanced composition with regard to saturated and unsaturated fatty components, confirming its potential as an auxiliary feedstock material.
