Abstract. In this study, to evaluate the feasibility of concentrated solar power (CSP) tower deployment in the Philippines, an economic and technical viability assessment was conducted. It is also the aim of this study to fill in the gap in local studies concerning CSP technologies. The Noor III solar tower was the base model for the techno-economic analysis of the thirteen selected sites across the Philippines via the System Advisor Model (SAM) software. Annual Energy Production, Capacity Factor (CF), and Levelized Cost of Electricity (LCOE) were evaluated using secondary data for site suitability and international financial metrics. Only two of the thirteen selected sites (Bolinao and Ilocos) show high potential for energy output due to the favorable Direct Normal Irradiation or DNI.
