Abstract. The large scale deployment of renewable technology has created a major challenge with respect to the disposal of solar panels, lithium-ion batteries, and wind turbine blades, and therefore requires efficient recycling for sustainability purposes. Nevertheless, a lot remains pending to be discovered regarding the economic and environmental viability of recycling solutions, especially in relation to wind turbine blades. Recycling efficiency of existing recycling technologies for these materials is the purpose of undergoing environmental performance and cost -effectiveness. From the review of literature, life cycle evaluation (LCA) and examples from large nations, recycling technologies were assessed along with their compatibility with the global political structure. Solar panels, provide more environmentally friendly alternatives with low carbon emissions, while lithium-ion battery provides the highest recovery rate, but to high environmental value. While contributing the least to the environment, the wind turbine blade has a low recovery rate. From the study, it has been concluded that there is a need to increase material recycling and develop a spherical economy in the renewable energy market, recycling requires strong legislative support and technological innovation.
