Laser Micromachining of Stainless Steels Used in Military Applications
Artur KALINOWSKI, Krystian MULCZYK
Abstract. This study presents a systematic investigation into laser micromachining of stainless steel used in military applications. Using a single-mode fiber laser with controlled process parameters such as pulse repetition frequency, scanning speed, and F-theta lens focal length, the laser effect on surface microstructure was examined. Understanding the influence of key laser parameters enables optimized and reproducible processes, contributing to improved performance and lifespan of military hardware under extreme conditions.
