Transition Metal Composite for Supercapacitors

Mehdi Zarei, Aziz Babapoor, Mehdi Eskandarzade

The unique electrochemical properties, elevated energy density, and excellent cycle durability of transition metal composites have made them attractive supercapacitor electrode choices. Research on the effectiveness of transition metal composites in supercapacitors has focused on a number of different systems, including those based on ruthenium, manganese, cobalt, nickel, and others. This chapter explores the role of transition metal composites in high-performance supercapacitors advancement, emphasizing their pseudocapacitive characteristics and potential to improve energy storage systems. Also, the new advancements in the investigation of the supercapacitor performance of the material are evaluated.
