High-temperature materials play a crucial role in advancing sustainable engineering, which seeks to reduce environmental impact and enhance resource efficiency. The effective use of such materials, including ceramics, polymers, and metals, enables advancements in several commercial applications. This work explores the selection criteria for these materials, highlights their distinctive properties, and discusses their diverse applications. Furthermore, it reviews essential characterization techniques used to analyze their material properties.
