Superalloys are a class of alloys renowned for their ability to retain their structural properties under extreme and prolonged high-temperature conditions. Within this category, iron-based superalloys have gained great importance, originating from the development of stainless steels by combining iron with strengthening elements such as nickel, chromium, carbon, and others. Their versatile and complex composition has made them widely applicable across various industries and their complexity enables the design of a wide range of superalloys, allowing for tailored properties to meet specific requirements. This versatility and outstanding characteristics have increased their demand, reaching very advanced levels of sophistication.
