Rope Tensioning System in a Large-Sized Horizontal Turntable

Abstract. The study presents practical solutions for the design considerations of a rope tensioning system in a large horizontal turntable. The analyzed turntable is designed for rotating large-sized wheeled military vehicles such as the Jelcz 882 or KTO Rosomak, as well as tracked military vehicles such as the Leopard tank. The control of the rope tension force is illustrated using proprietary solutions for tensioning devices. Kinematic and dynamic analyses were performed using the “dynamic analysis” environment of the Autodesk Inventor Professional 2021 modelling software.
