Abstract. A HIP system with a useful volume of Ø 800 x 2500 mm will be presented. With the help of jet cooling, a cooling rate of 40°K/min. is achieved in the range of 1220°C to 850°C. The uniformity of temperature distribution is between +/- 5°K during cooling. It is possible to drive different cooling rates. The function of the system is described.
