XIA LLC invents, develops and markets advanced digital data acquisition and processing systems for x-ray, gamma-ray, and other radiation detector applications in university research, national laboratories and industry.
Our x-ray spectroscopy products used in materials research span the range from low cost OEM cards for handheld and benchtop XRF to rack mounted and standalone modules for ultra-high rate counting systems at synchrotrons beam-lines and elsewhere. Our high-rate multi-channel digital signal processors offer fast scanning and list mode data collection for 2D elemental mapping and custom time dependent applications. At the top of the range, the FalconX modules provide several million counts-per-second data output with relatively low dead-time. All of our spectroscopy products incorporate proprietary signal detection and pile-up inspection routines to maximize the output of useful data.
As a pioneer of FPGA based digital signal processing, XIA has a strong R&D component that undertakes advance product R&D, SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research) grant research, and contract R&D to develop custom designs for our customers.
